BREATHE Airmonitor Plus thoughts

Hello. Looks like a great community. Was wondering what you guys thought of the BREATHE Airmonitor Plus unit. I read about the qingping Gen2 and it looks great also. Was wondering how they compare to each other and which one would you purchase. Thank you so much for your time.

Here is the sensor asking about.

I haven’t yet had the chance to test this monitor - and they don’t mention what sensors they use - but I was able to find these images of the sensors:

It looks like a Cubic NDIR Co2 sensor and a Plantower/Cubic PM sensor. I can’t be sure from the images alone, but both of these sensors look to be decent. I would be less trusting of the TVOC and formaldehyde sensors, but this is a caveat with most low cost monitors.

It would be interesting to hear if anyone else has tried the device!

Thank you so much Ethan for the reply. I want to grab one of those or the qingping but I wasn’t sure if the Breathe unit had any advantages over the qingping Gen2. A bit less money also. The qingping sure looks pretty, but I’m looking for accuracy over that. Again thank you so much Ethan. If anyone has tried this unit would sure love to hear your opinion. Thanks.

Ethan. Excluding the touchscreen of the qingping, which device would you recommend. Qingping or the Breathe. Thanks.

You’re welcome!

I would opt for the Qingping (even without the touchscreen) simply because it’s a device that I’ve tried and had hands-on time with (and I like it), and it’s better tested by third-party labs and reviewers.

While the Gen 2 hasn’t yet been tested, the Gen 1 and Lite both got decent AQ-SPEC scores, for example.
